Pints for Polio
It all started when...
District Governor Dick Ray charged District 7570 to host a Pints for Polio event in their area. The goal of the event was to raise additional funds for the Polio Plus program and raise awareness for Rotary International's work in the polio eradication efforts worldwide.
Even though the district provided some marketing materials About 90 Marketing and Life Focus Pictures donated in kind services to develop custom materials for Area 5.
It started with the vintage poster design. The design was modified to created social media graphics, an animated commercial and web graphics for online ticket sales.
How did the event do?
The Area 5 Pints for Polio event received participation from all seven clubs in Area 5. The Rotary Club of Lynchburg-Morning secured four sponsorships and raised $5100 after expenses with this simple beer event. After the funds were matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the $5100 was transformed into $15,300 for polio eradication.
